Belts are a traditional component of Jiu-Jitsu uniforms. They are worn around the waist to display the wearer’s rank and accomplishments. Like other martial arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu uses a colored ranking system. While black is the highest common belt, a red belt is awarded to those who demonstrate the pinnacle of mastery. Additional colors include blue, green, orange, purple, and more. Each belt also includes individual stripes or degrees that must be attained before the next one is awarded.
These belts are made from materials such as cotton, cotton/poly blend, or nylon by the ProForce brand. They’re available in multiple sizes in a double-wrap style. You can also add patches, pins, and other accessories to signify additional achievements.
